I REFER to the letter ''School kids being sold short'' by a Form 2 student (South China Morning Post, April 13). Some Anglo-Chinese schools in Hongkong are using both English and Cantonese as their teaching medium, just because the English standard of some teachers is quite low. However, this does not mean that the language standard of all teachers in Hongkong is low. Also, the English standard of students in Hongkong is improving, and the English examination papers are also getting more difficult every year. Therefore, this Form 2 student is not right to say that Hongkong students are definitely not getting what they bargained for. JOSEPHINE TSANG New Territories
