Chip-maker in transfer deal

Pacific Semiconductor Manufacturing of Taiwan has signed an agreement with IBM, to transfer expertise to make microchips in Taipei. Under the contract signed on Wednesday, Pacific Semiconductor will acquire IBM's 0.25-0.15 micron logic integrated circuit technology.
