Visitors to London should not miss Picasso: Painter And Sculptor In Clay at the Royal Academy of Art (tel: 44-171 300-8000) until December 27. This is the first major exhibition of 200 Picasso dishes, vases and jugs, two-thirds of which have never been seen before.

Showing at the hip Guggenheim Museum in SoHo, New York, is Premises, a multimedia exhibition exploring 'space' in French art over the past 40 years. In addition to installations, videos, photographs and architecture, there is a French film retrospective for serious cinephiles. For details, call (1-212) 423-3500.

Parisians are queuing up to see Making Things, which celebrates the technical and aesthetic innovations of Japanese fashion designer Issey Miyake. The designer's trademark pleats and new Starbust DIY collection will be on display until February 28 at the Jean Nouvel-designed Cartier Foundation (tel: 33-1 42 18 56 51).

If you liked Jurassic Park, you'll love Terrorsaurus at the Australian Museum. Running until April 25, it is a hands-on, interactive exhibition, featuring robotic dinosaurs, computer animation and a series of adventure zones. Great for kids. For details, call (61-2) 9320-6000.

And for those who will be home in Hong Kong for the holidays, take a daytrip to Ancient Egypt at the Egyptian Treasure exhibition at the Museum of Art, Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui (tel: 2734-2167).
