New vessel for NOL
NEPTUNE Orient Line (NOL) has announced the christening of its new containership Neptune Almandine last Friday at the Koyo Dockyard in Mihara City, Japan.
Neptune Almandine, a 3,600 TEUs modern containership is the second container ship to be built by Koyo Dockyard for NOL.
This new vessel, which will be the largest and fastest in the NOL container fleet, will join a compliment of 25 vessels.
Together with its two sister ships, Neptune Alexandrite and Neptune Amazonite, the Neptune Almandine will be deployed in the Europe trade.
This newbuilding is part of an upgrading and renewal programme of the NOL fleet to enhance the competitive edge and service quality to meet business and trade demands.
