World champions Sweden celebrated their triumph in a tournament in Moscow by beating Russia 5-3. The Swedes had already sealed their victory in the five-nation annual tournament, which is part of the Euro Hockey Tour, by beating the Czech Republic 2-1 on Saturday. They finished with four wins in four matches. The Czechs, who were already sure of second place, had little trouble disposing of Canada 6-3 in the tournament's final match on Sunday. Canada, fielding mostly minor league players, lost all their four matches. Finland finished third thanks to a better goal difference than Russia, who also had three points from four matches.
