Helen Liang Memorial Secondary School's 10th annual athletics competition was a great success, thanks to the efforts of teachers, students and parents.

The event helped promote sportsmanship, friendship and a sense of belonging to the school among the students.

A total of 533 students took part in 36 events, while teachers and this year's Secondary Five graduates joined the invitation relay.

Parents also showed their support by participating in a special skills contest, which involved plastic cones, bamboo rings and inflatable sofas. It was great fun for participants and spectators.

Months of practice paid off for the cheerleaders as their performances added colour to the day's activities.

As lively music played in the background, four groups of Secondary One girls danced and waved banners to show support for their houses.
