I refer to the report headlined, 'Fund's $10m deficit sparks patient fears' (South China Morning Post, December 8).

 The Samaritan Fund relies heavily on donations from charitable groups. Besides those mentioned in the report, such as the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, other charitable organisations such as S.K. Yee Medical Foundation and Chinese permanent Cemeteries Fund also give their constant support.
