More than 50 local fashion designers will preview their collections on Monday at a catwalk show at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, hosted by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. The event, co-sponsored by Le Salon Orient, will officially kick off Hong Kong Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 1999-2000, which will take place later in January. Also part of Hong Kong Fashion Week is a travelling exhibition co-organised by supermodel agency Elite Model Management and Tactel fabric. On January 18, designer garments made from Tactel, a material created by the Dupont chemicals empire, will go on show at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. Feldman, who splits her time between New York and Spain, is known for her quirky take on shoes, which in the past have included perspex heels and plastic fruit adornments. She is at accessories store on pedder in Central, to preview her new spring 1999 line. Wafting in The last perfume launch of 1998 takes place today. Yves Saint Laurent, who made such classic fragrances as Opium and Jazz, is unveiling its latest fragrance, Vice Versa, at the Conrad hotel this afternoon. The perfume is a limited edition version, which means it will be sold for one year only. Vice Versa goes on sale in February at all Yves Saint Laurent counters in Hong Kong.
