Residents should think of long-term advantages

A new station at Mei Foo Sun Chuen is being built and it will be the transit point between the MTR and the new West Rail.

Many Mei Foo residents have expressed their opposition to the building of the station. They argue that the construction work will damage the environment.

They fear that there will be serious pollution problems.

I am a Mei Foo resident and from my flat I can see the construction site.

I have to admit that it looks unsightly and there is a lot of dust.

Once construction work really gets underway, there will also be noise pollution. That is to be expected.

However, this disruption will only last for a few years.
