Cheques continued to flood the mailbox of the Operation Santa campaign, which closes today. The postbag brought donations totalling $81,170 yesterday. General Accident gave $15,000. Thanks go to the Ladies Lawn Bowls Association of Hong Kong for its donation of $10,000. Also thanks to the New Territories Regional Police Officers' Mess, Mrs I. Park, Lily Ting, Cho Pui-ping, Rachel Clarke and Evelyn West for their kind donations. Pacific Coffee Company collected $6,000 while Yau Tze Tin Memorial College raised $61,778 with a variety of events. Merrill Lynch contributed $50,000, which brought total donations to $415,000. The grand total is now $3,311,671. Special thanks to Morgan Stanley for donating $100,000. The company is an annual supporter of the event.
