Sixteen students have successfully completed a programme aimed at improving their communication and leadership skills.
The students from Buddhist Hung Sean Chau Memorial College received certificates in recognition of their achievements in the eight-week Youth Leadership Programme.
The college is the second school in the SAR to organise the course with the support of the Hong Kong Achievers Toastmasters Club.
The fun-packed English programme is designed to help senior secondary students develop public-speaking skills and leadership techniques.
The 16 participants took on different roles, including chairperson, toastmaster, 'table-topic master' and evaluator, which required them to judge others' speeches.
During 'table-topics' sessions, students had to speak on various subjects, with very little time being given to prepare for the discussions. The Form Six and Form Seven students were also required to deliver speeches on assigned topics every week.
