Two serial killers were found guilty yesterday of murdering three women and plotting the execution of a fourth.
The star witness in the case was a masseuse who escaped death after one of the murderers showed her a homemade coffin and vowed to kill her.
A Court of First Instance jury took four hours to unanimously find Chan Ka-chun guilty of imprisoning and killing three hostesses.
He was also convicted of twice raping and plotting to murder the masseuse, and of plotting to rob all four victims.
The 29-year-old masseuse had testified that Chan Ka-chun lured her to Cheung Chau Island last January by feigning friendship.
But when they reached the island, he imprisoned her, repeatedly raped her and pledged to entomb her in the coffin, the court heard.
