At least 300 employees at Tokyu Department Store in Tsim Sha Tsui and its subsidiary Dragon Seed stores have had their year-end bonuses reduced, a union official said yesterday.

External secretary of Hong Kong Department Stores & Commercial Staff General Union Cheng Nai-yan said the company 'is cutting the bonus from 1.2 months to one month'.

The Japanese store also owns four Hugo boutiques, on top of Dragon Seed stores in Tsim Sha Tsui and Central.

'It simply issued a notice informing staff of a bonus cut.

'There's no avenue for consultation,' Mr Cheng said.

The company refused to comment.
