AN orchestra from Vienna sweeps through Hong Kong on February 3 as part of the 100th anniversary celebrations to mark the death of Viennese composer Johann Strauss. The six-piece Philharmonia Schrammeln, which is part of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, will play at a four-course dinner, dubbed 'An evening with the king of waltz', at the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel's Concord Room. The evening, at $800 a head (including service charge), begins with a Dom Perignon reception, followed by a menu which includes marinated salmon tartare with caviar and dill salad, clear ox-tail soup with sherry and truffle, veal olives with vegetables, and chocolate mousse.
