A WEALTHY 81-year old man, who it is claimed is suffering senile dementia, mistook his youngest daughter for his mistress and complained that she had not made love to him, the High Court heard.
The claims were made during a hearing where Mr Chan Man-yee was seeking to have a $24 million gift made to his fifth child declared void.
Mr Victor Chan, 18, grandson of Mr Chan Man-yee, said the mistaken identity incident took place in Australia.
The court had heard that when the plaintiff's wife died, his children became worried that he might marry his 48-year-old mistress.
They sent him to Australia for a holiday accompanied by daughter Sylvia and Victor.
At the time Mr Chan Man-yee mistook Sylvia for his mistress Victor tried to intervene but was chased away by his grandfather, the court heard.
Mr Chan Man-yee is seeking to declare a deed of a $24 million commercial property gift in North Point invalid.
