Sony has introduced an Internet e-mail package that uses 'virtual pets' to help beginners and children send and receive e-mail. In PostPet, you can choose among four cute pets - including a teddy bear, a cat, a rabbit, and a turtle - to live inside your e-mail software. The pet will 'deliver' e-mail to you and carry outgoing e-mail to your friends.

 A combination of a game and an e-mail program, PostPet costs $250. Call Sony at 2833-5129.
