HONGKONG Football Club lawn bowler Mark McMahon is only two wins away from striking it rich on Australia's Gold Coast. The 24-year-old Commonwealth Games silver medallist finished top of his five-strong section to qualify for the semi-finals of the Jack High invitation tournament at the Tweedheads Bowling Club. The winner-takes-all prize of HK$125,000 and a car from sponsors Mazda will be McMahon's if he sees off Scotland's Richard Corsie in today's semi-finals and goes on to take the title. After losing 2-1 to Australia's Trevor Morris, McMahon beat England's Gary Smith 2-1, Daphne Shaw (Australia) 2-0 and Australia's Cameron Curtis 2-0. Shaw qualified in second place.
