Harald Bruning

East Timor chieftains, or liurais, will meet in Macau next week to set up a senate in anticipation of possible independence. The summit is being organised by Manuel Tilman, an East Timorese lawyer based in Macau.

 Mr Tilman also said he expected East Timorese Nobel Peace Prize laureate Jose Ramos Horta to attend the meeting on February 11-14.
