MS PANSY Ho appears to have landed one of the more challenging public relations accounts of the year - that of the fledgling Liberal Party. Legislators and party founders Mr Allen Lee Peng-fei and Mrs Selina Chow Liang Shuk-yee look like handing the account to Ms Ho, who is a partner in the Occasions marketing and public relations firm. She is also a member of the 79-member Liberal Party preparatory committee, which is working on setting up the organisation's structure in the run-up to the official launch on July 18. Another member of the committee is lawyer Ms Ada Wong Ying-kay, who is also Occasions' executive director. Winning the Liberal Party account would be a considerable coup for Occasions, which has specialised in high-fashion promotion. Senior Liberals were falling over themselves to deny they have appointed a PR company. ''We have not hired any PR consultants . . . although there have been lots of stories about who we have taken on,'' Mrs Chow told P.S. It is understood Ms Ho is keeping her work under wraps while the Liberals crank up the party machinery.
