A hiker died yesterday after plunging 200 metres down Kowloon Peak as her husband and nine-year-old son looked on. Leung Ying-ting, 46, slipped while walking on top of the 603-metre peak at about 11.30am. A passer-by called police while two others tried to reach her. The injured woman was airlifted by helicopter to Eastern Hospital where she was declared dead about three hours later. A Fire Services Department spokesman said she had multiple fractures to her head, right knee and other parts of her body.
