Local rock band Beyond will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a mini-concert at the former Kai Tak airport. It will be sponsored by Metro Broadcast and is scheduled to be held on March 7.

 Organisers hope to attract more than 10,000 fans to the show, called Beyond 2000 Concert.

  The event will be held in an aircraft hangar and there will be no seating.

  If everything goes well, the organisers said a concert would be held every three months, sponsored alternately by Commercial Radio and RTHK.

   Canto-pop king Aaron Kwok Fu-shing was surprised to receive a photo album from superstar Janet Jackson. The pair starred in a new series of Pepsi commercials.

  On the album, she had written: 'Aaron, it was great working with you. You are very handsome. I love you!'   Kwok said: 'It's so touching. I hope to buy her something special as a souvenir.'   When asked whether Faye Wong, who stars in the latest Pepsi advertisement, will succeed him, Kwok said they had different roles and the commercials would cater to different markets in Asia.

  The commercials will be shown in the mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the United States.

   Singers Andy Hui Chi-on, Kelly Chen Wai-lam and Mark Lui Chung-tak staged a drama at the Hong Kong Arts Festival last week. The trio wore specially-designed costumes and innovative hairstyles.

  However, Hui was upset with his hairstyle and felt he looked stupid and ugly.

 Hui had about 100 clips on his hair, while Chen had about 200. They said the hairclips were too heavy and the singers were scared they would drop off.

  Responding to criticism about the theme of the drama, Lui said it was not difficult to understand the story.

  'It was presented in a simple way without using too many complicated thoughts. I hope the audience enjoyed it.'
