Daya Bay experts hired

DAYA Bay experts have been hired to teach the Russians how to manage nuclear powerplants after the recent explosion at a nuclear weapons complex in Tomsk, Siberia. Western fears about safety standards at Russia's installations have prompted the European Community to hire French Daya Bay consultants Electricite de France and German company Siemens for a US$6.3 million (HK$49 million) three-year management training programme to Russia's top nuclear operators.
