Plate-smashing is back at Bacchus with a four-course set menu for eight (or more) and live band. It's half-price on Sundays at $150 a person; also available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at $300. Book three days in advance (tel: 2529-9032).

From February 15, you have an hour to eat all you want from an array of sashimi, oysters, soups, salads, daily roast, Asian and Western main courses and desserts from the dinner buffet at the Hong Kong Hotel Coffee Shop and pay just $99. For $128 (including service), treat yourself to a two-course seafood dinner at the Dublin Jack. Choose from the seafood menu, which includes oysters, smoked salmon, seabass and lobster - all from Ireland, of course - every evening in February.

The restaurants at the new Regal Airport Hotel at Chek Lap Kok have opened in time for Lunar New Year. Check out the Chinese restaurant, Rouge, for its set lunches and modern decor; $288 (plus 10 per cent service charge) for two or $568 for four. Call 2286-8888.
