Staff of the travel agency that left more than 1,000 New Year holidaymakers without tickets last week vanished overnight, an industry official said yesterday. Simon Hau of the Travel Industry Council said All Win Sing Travel's offices had been stripped of furniture and fingerprints, and up to eight staff were missing. The agency shut overnight on February 10. Mr Hau said 430 complaints had been lodged by about 1,300 passengers claiming to have been cheated out of $4.1 million. Agency owner Kong Koon-hong, 43, and his wife, 32, surrendered to Tsuen Wan police last week and a 27-year-old man was arrested at Macau ferry terminal.
