Leather fair under way

THE Hongkong International Leather Fair was opened yesterday at the Convention and Exhibition Centre by Dr Marcello Inghilesi, president of the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade, and Mr Wayne Goss, Premier of Australia's Queensland state.

Mr Goss said the fair was second to the Paris Leather Week in promotional importance for the world leather industry, attracting more than 20,000 buyers.
