SKY Telecom Services (SkyTel) last week launched its international satellite-based SkyWord, SkyTalk and SkyPage services in Hongkong. The SkyTel international messaging services allow subscribers to receive and retrieve wireless messages with a single receiving device or pager wherever they travel in countries implementing the SkyTel service. The SkyTel network currently operates in more than 600 cities in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Singapore and now Hongkong. New cities and countries are being linked to the system nearly every month. Bermuda, Indonesia and Malaysia are expected to come on-line this summer.
