A DJ since 1982, Ngan joined Metro Radio seven years ago and is now FM 104's music director, programme development manager and the host of its love hotline, In the Mood. Favourite book: I love all kinds of non-fiction books about psychology and social behaviour. Although I'm the host of a love hotline, I never read novels on love - for me they are illusions. My favourites include my current reading, Men Are From Mars, Woman Are From Venus, by John Gray. Magazine: I never pay much attention to magazine titles because I never read an entire issue. I may read a feature story, the rest I just flick through. Film: Falling In Love, starring Meryl Streep and Robert DeNiro, which tells a simple and beautiful story; The Goodbye Girl, directed by Herbert Ross, and As Good As It Gets, starring Jack Nicholson. CD: I don't have a favourite CD but I have a favourite song: Sylvia Chiang's Oi Dik Doi Ga (Value of Love). I'm so moved I tremble everytime it's played. Luther Vandross' Impossible Dreams is my second favourite. It gives me energy when I feel weak. Car: Porche's Boxster, launched last year. I love the antique look and the shape. I'm driving a BMW Z3, but I would love to own a Boxster one day. Place to take a guest in Hong Kong: Pacific Place, because you can find everything there: designer shops, first-class hotels, parking and so on. I don't believe in taking guests to a place like Lei Yu Mun for seafood because you can have better seafood in good hotels. Way to keep fit: Jogging or swimming, and step aerobics. But I'm very busy at the moment and if I have any spare time I spend it sleeping. Way to spend a Sunday: Shopping in Pacific Place or Times Square. Then I usually go home to play with my dogs. Holiday destination: Wherever nice hotels are; Taipei's Shangri-La and Phuket's Le Meridien are the most impressive I've been to. I enjoy the facilities a good hotel provides, but apart from shopping I don't like walking around much. I'm not the sort who enjoys checking out places tourists are suppose to visit. Scent: Bulgari - it's light and refreshing. I also love anything citrus-scented. Cosmetic/beauty product: I believe in exercise, not cosmetics. Whether people can tell or not, I feel beautiful as soon as I begin to exercise. Accessory: I collect watches and jewellery, but I don't wear the jewels. Cartier's French tank watches, it's Trinity rings and bangles, and Bulgari's XL jewellery are my favourite lines. Hairdresser: Richard from R&C Salon in Tsim Sha Tsui East. I've used him for almost a year. Meal: I prefer Chinese; steamed fish and prawns are my dishes of choice. Restaurant: Times Square's Bistro Gold for its simple and tasty food cooked without MSG. I also like the Chinese restaurants in the Conrad, Kowloon Shangri-la and Stanford hotels. Alcoholic drink: Between radio shows I don't talk much, and when I'm drunk I become mute, so to avoid being completely unsociable I don't drink alcohol. Shop: Designer shops are a hugely important part of my life. I like them all, provided they offer good services. Artist: Tom Hanks for his acting artistry and healty image. I also like Robert DeNiro - he's an explosive actor. Designer: Yoji Yamamoto for his wearable clothes with great cutting and textures. Person: Deanie Yip Tak-han, a veteran actress and a friend, and a mentor for more than 10 years. She is a very strong woman who loves life and never stops improving herself. I'm in awe of her.
