Learning to beat the competition
Staying ahead in these tough economic times is a matter of listening to people in your industry and keeping up to date with the latest business research.
So says Gregg Li, who believes the best way to do both is to attend a programme run by the Poon Kam Kai Institute of Management called Service Innovation as a Source of Competitive Advantage.
This is most suited to senior-level executives who work in service sectors such as banking and insurance.
'The course is basically about how to be innovative in this kind of environment and how to beat your competitors,' says Gregg who is chief executive and a director of the institute.
Poon Kam Kai Institute is a think-tank geared to solving large-scale, long-term management problems. It was founded in 1990 by a grant from Dickson Poon in honour of his late father, Poon Kam Kai.
Owned by the University of Hong Kong, the institute is closely associated with the School of Business there.
