WE refer to the letter headlined ''CMB needs better service'' (South China Morning Post, April 7), concerning our route 76 bus service. According to our records, seeing Mr Tang didn't point out the exact day in his letter. April 2 was the only day in that week when we experienced problems during the morning peak service. The reason for the delay was because Nam Fung Road had been closed for over an hour due to a traffic accident. The closure of that road also made it impossible for us to arrange any suitable diversions as that would have meant missing most of the stops on that route. In situations like this, the only option we have is to temporarily suspend the service. We apologise for this inconvenience but it is beyond our control.
