Craig to saddle up

WITH the recent exodus of leading riders from Taipa, the Macau Jockey Club has issued a visiting international licence to Australian Craig Hyeronimus, writes Robin Parke.

Taipa has seen the last of crack Australian jockeys Gary Palmer and Danny Brereton, while Englishman Philip Waldron leaves after the weekend to ride in Mauritius.

Hyeronimus, 30, has been riding for 13 years but was forced out of the top flight by weight problems in Sydney. He has ridden in more than 2,250 races with a winning tally of close to 400.
