Great Power can take advantage of his inside draw and win the feature fourth event on tonight's mixed turf and dirt meeting at Sha Tin.

The turf track, pared to the quick in the interest of safety, was given the all clear by jockeys and trainers after a specially convened trial yesterday morning.

The short back and sides to the grass should ensure there is none of the slipping that forced the abandonment of racing the weekend before last and also bedevilled the later races at Sunday's tragic meeting.

But it could also lead to 'kickback' with the sandmesh surface far more exposed and this could itself lead to an inside-cum-leaders bias.

The rail is out to the 'C+3' position for tonight's meeting. When the rail is out so far, it is usually a leaders' track anyway.

A combination of the rail out and kickback could make for a profound bias.
