The Winners Showcase '99 will give companies the chance to share the experiences of previous winners of the productivity section of the Hong Kong Awards for Services, according to the HKPC's executive director, Thomas Tang. 'We also want to recognise past winners,' he said.
The two-day Winners Showcase '99, which begins today, will involve presentations by past winners.
The productivity category is organised by HKPC.
The showcase will include a debriefing by Thomas Tuttle, the chief assessor of the category in 1997 and last year, and a training workshop, 'Service Productivity - Making it Happen'.
Day one will see presentations by last year's merit award winners, including the Government's Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, Hsin Chong Real Estate Management, IBM China/Hong Kong, and Motorola Semiconductors Hong Kong.
A luncheon and presentations by the Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation, last year's grand award winner, and the Hong Kong and China Gas Company, Ltd, the 1997 grand award winner, will follow.
Mr Tuttle will then give his debriefing. He has been director of the Maryland Centre for Quality and Productivity at the University of Maryland in the United States since 1978.
