New kit boosts green awareness

A more comprehensive and up- to-date teaching kit has been produced by the Environmental Protection Department to help teachers and students better understand Hong Kong's environmental problems.

Entitled 'Environmental Explorer', the new teaching kit will also help students to pro mote environmental awareness in the community, Director of Environmental Protection Rob Law said.

A total of 1,000 sets of the new kit have been produced and will be distributed to all secondary schools, public libraries, green groups and ter tiary institutes.

Environmental Explorer contains information about en vironmental conditions in Hong Kong and global issues.

The kit includes activities, slides and an interactive CD- ROM with more than 170 im ages.
