BCT wins licences

Bekasi Container Terminal (BCT), an Indonesian-Japanese joint venture based in Jakarta, has won an international forwarding licence and wholesaler licence, boosting its export, import and wholesale activities.

As Indonesia's first foreign-affiliated business to be licensed as an international forwarder, the winning of a wholesale licence means BCT will have the right to engage in purchasing and procurement on behalf of customers.

'This new qualification paves the way for us to offer an integrated service,' an official said.
