IIs injured in brawl over TV

Two illegal immigrants were seriously hurt in a brawl at Pik Uk Prison, Sai Kung, yesterday over what to watch on television.

Chan Cheung-chi, 27, was stabbed in the back of the head with a ballpen; Lee Yuet-keung, 38, suffered multiple injuries.

Chan was in serious condition in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, while Lee was in stable condition.

A Correctional Service Department officer, Lee Chung-yin, 26, suffered minor injuries when he tried to stop the brawl.

The fight broke out at about noon when the inmates had finished lunch.

Two groups of illegal immigrants were involved in a dispute over seating and a fight involving about 30 people erupted.
