The rumour mill is grinding out more reports that singer Leon Lai Ming and actress Shu Qi are in love. Lai finished shooting a shampoo commercial in Paris and celebrated Shu's birthday with her.
The singer said they were good friends and denied Shu was his girlfriend. He said dining out with Shu was nothing special and that the media should respect his private life.
Actress Anita Yuen Wing- yee was said to be too boastful in some Chinese newspapers after singer Andy Lau Tak-wah complained about an actress, without naming her. Yuen denied the claims and said she had only co- operated with Lau twice. She said the media should not link the complaint about the anonymous actress with her.
'I didn't speak a word to him when we were starring in a film because I was too nervous to work with Lau,' she said.
Yuen said she did not feel angry about the claims, but in fact was glad that people talked about her. She admitted she was too talkative and playful which might mislead people.
Rumours have started linking singer Lilian Ho Kar-li with her boss at Fito Entertainment Yeung Shau-shing. Ho was spotted accompanying Yeung at social gatherings and in shopping malls.
