It's a tough Triple Trio on Sha Tin's mixed turf and dirt card tomorrow night but with an attractive $18.1 million jackpot, it was never going to be easy.
Going down the card, Simon's Decision, Beauty Fountain, Full Throttle and Dragon Power could be the four to take against the field in the third event, a Class Four mile contest on the grass, which opens the TT.
The turf races will be run on the 'B+2' course.
Simon's Decision has been crying out for a step up in distance and should relish the move up from 1,400 metres. He may be even better later on over 1,800 to 2,000 metres but for the time being a mile should see improvement on his already handy and consistent Class Four efforts at 1,400 metres.
Beauty Fountain certainly appreciated the move to a mile last time and has strong form claims. If he were ridden by a senior jockey then he would have outstanding banker claims.
It is only the presence of the 10-pound claimer Eric Lee who prevents this recommendation. Lee rides all right relative to his claim, don't get me wrong, it is just a bit of risk banking TT bets around an inexperienced apprentice.
Full Throttle and Dragon Power both ran much better than it looked last time, making good ground in slowly run affairs.
