'Viagra is my little darling. I have once again found real joy,' a patient enthused yesterday as he told how the little blue anti-impotency pills have given him a new lease of life.
The widower, 69, who gave his name as Uncle Lee, was the only patient on the trial programme to speak out about his experiences.
'It is a kind of magic. I have been given the greatest of treasures. My girlfriend says it is as if I am now 10 years younger.' Uncle Lee has suffered from erectile dysfunction for more than 10 years.
Encouraged by his friends, he went to Kwong Wah Hospital's male clinic two years ago.
He tried Chinese medicine and injections, but they had little effect.
'I took Chinese herbal pills but they didn't work very well and injections are just too much trouble,' he said.
