A man raped the young wife of a relative then made her swear on a photograph of her son that she would not talk of the incident, a court heard yesterday.
Building worker Sukhmander Singh, 28, allegedly told the woman he would kill someone if she broke her word.
The 22-year-old woman lived with her husband, sister-in-law and father-in-law in a Kowloon flat, where she was allegedly raped on February 18 last year.
Afterwards, 'the defendant asked when the victim's sister-in-law would be home and implied that he intended to have sexual intercourse with her also,' prosecutor Dee Crebbin said.
Singh has pleaded not guilty in the Court of First Instance to rape.
On the day of the alleged attack, the woman was preparing to take a shower when she heard noises in the flat, the court heard.
