When did you take up fencing? Why did you become a fencer, when there were so many other sports to choose from? I first had a taste of the sport 13 years ago, when I joined a summer training course organised by the Regional Council and Education Department.
The coach said I had potential and encouraged me to undertake more intensive training in order to improve my skills.
Later, I took part in competitions and won awards. That's how I became a fencer.
How many hours a day do you train? Does the training put pressure on your job? Last year, I practised intensively for the Asian Games in Bangkok.
I trained two to three hours a day, six days a week. It was an exhausting regimen.
Now, I have eased up a little, but I still practise three days a week, focusing on fitness, endurance and stamina.
