In an attempt to keep fit, I do a short walk three times a week which involves a circuit around the Shouson Hill and Deepwater Bay Drive area.
On the morning of April 19, I was so appalled by the state of the pavements that I felt compelled to write this letter.
I counted a total of 102 piles of dogs mess in 35 minutes and I find this simply unacceptable.

The initial problem stems from the fact that people keep dogs in flats, which in itself seems so cruel.
This means that they have to be taken out for their daily constitutional, involving a walk along the pavement with no effort made whatsoever to clear up afterwards.

I have very rarely seen a dog being walked by its owner, always by domestic helpers.
