The wife and parents of a tour guide killed in a Shenzhen bus crash are suing the driver and Citybus. Wong Chun, 35, was killed in the accident in November 1996 when the bus was heading from Hong Kong to Shenzhen. Leung Wai-kwong was driving the bus at high speed when it hit a cable which cut through the top half of the bus, according to a writ lodged in the High Court. The mechanical arm of a dredger working alongside Bun Hor Zi Road hit the cable, which was hanging over the road, the writ says. The writ seeks unspecified damages to be paid to Wong's widow, Wong Ching-hung, 26, and his parents, father Wong Wan, 72, and mother Wong King-yiu, 63.
