Green light for three 62-storey towers in TST

Cheung Kong (Holdings) and Hutchison Whampoa have secured planning approval from the Buildings Department for two joint-venture property projects.

One of the approved plans is for three 62-storey residential-commercial towers in Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui (TST). They will provide 869,770 square feet of residential space and 169,320 sq ft of commercial space.

The site was bought for $2.89 billion at a tender in March last year by a consortium formed by Cheung Kong, Hutchison and Citic Pacific.

The other approved plan is for the Tung Chung Station, package three, property development.

Cheung Kong and Hutchison will develop 13 52-storey to 54-storey residential towers and 12 four-storey to six-storey apartment blocks.

The project will comprise 4.38 million sq ft of residential space and 88,400 sq ft non-residential space.
