The ICAC charged three people, including two jockeys, yesterday for allegedly trying to rig races dating back to 1996. Jockey Chin Kin-ming, 24, faces two counts of conspiracy to cheat at gambling and five of offering advantages amounting to $650,000 to four other jockeys. Apprentice Wong Yeuk-shun, 25, was charged with two counts of taking bribes totalling $170,000 from Chin to rig a race in March 1996. A third person, Denise Yeung, 27, listed as unemployed, faces the same conspiracy charge as Chin in a January 1996 race. The trio will appear at Eastern court on Monday. The ICAC earlier secured convictions against jockeys Ricky Choi Chun-wai and Keith Kwok Ting, who have been jailed one year and six months respectively.
