Young people willing to express their discontent over the declining air quality are being invited to join a rally and protest next week.

'Wear A Mask' day on May 27, organised by Clear The Air, will provide a chance to show support for action on air pollution.

There will be a public rally in Chater Garden and support is also being sought for a petition to be presented to the Government.

Schools and sports associations are also being urged to join the protest.

Clear The Air said it believed that the Government was not moving quickly enough to counter the ever-worsening air pollution.

A spokesman said: 'We want to send a strong signal to decision-makers that vested interests must be set aside and that swift action on air pollution is needed now.' For inquiries, call 2893-0213.
