A MAINLAND overstayer was sent to hospital yesterday after falling ill on the fourth day of her hunger strike outside the Legislative Council Building. The girl, 17, surnamed Lo, felt unwell in the morning and was admitted to Queen Mary Hospital, where her condition was satisfactory. A man and woman were also asked to go home to rest yesterday after complaining of discomfort. The three people were among about 30 demonstrators who have been camping outside the Legco Building on straw mats, cardboard and blankets since Wednesday. The mainlanders are on a hunger strike to protest against the Government's decision to ask the National People's Congress Standing Committee to reinterpret the Basic Law. They claim they were accorded the right of abode under the Basic Law by a Court of Final Appeal ruling on January 29.
