The truck driver arrested over last week's fatal Tuen Mun car crash had his bail extended yesterday until mid-June.
Chan Kwok-leung, 48, was arrested for alleged careless driving after his lorry lost control, hit a van and toppled on to a car on May 16 in Tuen Mun Road.
Five victims - four from the same family - died and another four, including Chan were injured.
Lam Sum-yee, four, and her grandmother, Chen Ching-yip, remained in stable condition at Yan Chai Hospital yesterday.
Detectives said they needed more time to investigate. They were waiting for the results of tests on the vehicles involved, including checks on the load and speed of the truck.
Chan yesterday reported back on his $5,000 bail and had it extended to June 15.
