According to industry professionals, quality has become the single most important element leading to organisational success and growth in both national and international markets.
To reward organisations which strive to maintain quality in every facet of their business, the Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) launched the Quality Award in 1991.
Its objective is to bring public recognition to those companies that have achieved outstand ing standards of quality and made a lasting commitment to quality management.
Since its inception, nine companies, including four in the past two years, have been named overall winners.
The HKMA believes the award provides a valuable opportunity for companies to review their operations and receive consultation and advice from experienced and respected quality experts.
This year's entries were judged in the following categories: Small business (companies with less than 100 full-time employees).
