Chief executive-designate Edmund Ho Hau-wah resigned from the Macau Legislative Assembly as expected yesterday.
He resigned after receiving in Beijing this week his official certificate of appointment as the enclave's post-handover chief executive.
Mr Ho had been a member and vice-president of the 23-member legislature since 1988. He presented his letter of resignation to Legislative Assembly President Anabela Ritchie.
