SCMP Reporter

A jobless welfare recipient was convicted yesterday of disorderly behaviour after abusing social security staff and kicking their office door.

  Eastern Court heard that Yu Kam-hung, 55, went to the Social Security Field Unit in New Jade Centre, Chai Wan, on April 26 because he felt he had been cheated over a rent allowance. Yu pleaded guilty to failure to produce proof of identity on demand but not guilty to behaving in a disorderly manner in public.

 Magistrate Robert McNair adjourned sentencing until June 15.
